SWORDS Driving School Terms and conditions:

SWORDS Driving School Instructors

At SWORDS Driving School we ensure that;

  – All SWORDS DRIVING instructors shall provide the pupil with a dual controlled car in a clean and roadworthy condition.

  – All SWORDS DRIVING instructors shall represent themselves in a professional manner and be smart in appearance.

– SWORDS DRIVING has a strict no smoking policy.

– SWORDS DRIVING instructors will abide by the equal opportunity policy and will not discriminate against, colour, race ,creed, gender or sexuality.

Driving Test

Your SWORDS DRIVING instructor is entitled to withdraw their car for the usage of your driving test, should the SWORDS DRIVING instructor think you are not ready to take your driving test. Your SWORDS DRIVING instructor will give you a minimum of FIVE working days notice providing you haven’t come to the SWORDS DRIVING instructor at short notice (less than FIVE working days).

Occasionally SWORDS DRIVING instructors may become ill at short notice. In this event we will endeavour to find you another SWORDS DRIVING instructor, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee anything at such short notice.

In the event, the SWORDS DRIVING instructor’s car is not road worthy for your driving test SWORDS DRIVING will do utmost to find you a like for like vehicle. However, we cannot guarantee an identical vehicle esoecially at shortn notice.

If the DVSA examiner has declined to go out on test in your instructor’s car because it’s not roadworthy for any reasonable reason SWORDS DRIVING will pay for your a replacement driving test.

Payments To Your SWORDS Driving Instructor

Any block bookings paid to your SWORDS DRIVING instructor direct by cash or bank transfer is so solely between the pupil and the instructor. In the unlikely event you are unhappy or need help resolving an issue you should contact the SWORDS Driving School head office and we will try to help resolve the issue.

As with any type of cash purchase; be it from a shop or your driving instructor, you are entitled to ask for a receipt. Please ensure you ask for a receipt on the day of paying cash to your instructor. You should inform us immediately after the lesson if you haven’t obtained a receipt and you would like one.

SWORDS DRIVING cannot be held accountable for any cash/bank transfer payments made to your SWORDS instructor. The safest and most secure way to protect your money is by paying SWORDS DRIVING by bank transfer or through PayPal.

If you are experiencing difficulty with a cash/bank transfer refund from your instructor SWORDS DRIVING will try to assist on your behalf. In the unfortunate event we can’t recover your money we may refer you to the following so you can report and make a claim against your allocated instructor:

If you have paid Swords Driving School your money is protected and you will receive a refund/part refund depending on the complaint and how many hours of lessons are still outstanding.

First-time offers are available to new pupils joining Swords Driving School. You may only take one of these offers and they cannot be used in conjunction with any other swords driving offers.

Swords driving Cancellation Policy

Students are required to give a minimum of 24 hours notice to your instructor should you wish to cancel your driving lesson. If less than 24 hours then your instructor is entitled to charge you the normal driving lesson rate or the prorated amount if it’s a block booking.

It is the students responsibility to present a valid UK provisional driving license prior to the start of his/her first driving lesson. Failure to do present a valid UK provisional drivng licence entitles the instructor to cancel any lessons you have booked within 24 hours and you may be charged.

Swords driving will not be responsible for driving lesson/test cancellation due to mechanical breakdown or other emergencies such as illness/bereavement. Swords driving will try to find a replacement vehicle/instructor as soon as possible however this is not guaranteed.

Swords driving Offers & Price Changes

Swords driving is entitled to change driving lesson offers and lessons prices at any time. Driving lesson prices may be subject to change depending on location and times and if you learn in an automatic or manual vehicle.

Any pre-payments are honoured at the time in which they are purchased, but the first driving lesson must be taken within 6 months from the initial date of purchase.

Use of Student Personal Information

All personal information and details given to Swords driving are used to deliver the services intended and records are kept strictly confidential. Occasionally your information may need to be shared with third parties, in order for us to provide you with your requested service. For further information please visit our Privacy Policy.

Swords driving uphold and are in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998).

Limitations & Liability

Sword driving instructors are not liable to you (the pupil) for any loss or damage caused relating to any business interests such as lost profits, lost earnings, loss of opportunity/business or business interruption, including in no event liable for negligence or breach of statutory duty.

All of the content provided on this website (www.swordsdriving.com) such as information, logos and images relating to SWORDS DRIVING as a company and the products/services provided SWORDS DRIVING, are displayed without any representation of a warranty being made, whether it be implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, compatibility, non-infringement, accuracy and security. For what has been permitted by law exclusion of all terms and warranties are applied whether directly or indirectly.

SWORDS DRIVING does not represent the information provided being error-free and is not liable for any viruses or malware that the server may transmit between devices/users.

Mechanical Fault to the car or physical damage to the car within a driving lesson

In the event that the instructors teaching vehicle has a mechanical fault during the lesson, which could not be prevented, the SWORDS DRIVING instructor will pass the remaining time left on to your next driving lesson. If this is not possible, they will offer a full or partial refund for the remaining time owed.

In the event that the SWORDS DRIVING instructors teaching vehicle is damaged due to driver error from the pupil time spent resolving the issue will count towards the pupils lesson time.

For example: if the pupil hits the kerb and damages the alloy/punctures the tyre, the pupil will lose any remaining minutes it takes to change the tyre. The instructor will not charge the pupil for the damage – only driving lesson time may be lost.
